As a start-up lawyer, you will advise growth companies on corporate legal services and related employment matters. The position requires a law degree, Ontario membership, and at least five years advising entrepreneurs and start-ups. You will operate independently while delivering clear, business-driven answers under time pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Advise companies on formation and shareholders' agreements

Support private placements and corporate transactions

Prepare stock option plans and license agreements

Draft terms and conditions of use

Represent Caravel at start-up conferences and networking events

Requirements

Law degree

Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

At least five years advising entrepreneurs and start-ups

Ability to provide explicit, business-driven answers under pressure

Comfort operating autonomously and running mandates independently
