The work combines client relationships, legal writing, engagement management, and collaboration with tax, legal, and advisory professionals across BDO Canada. Three years of tax law practice is required, while multiple Canadian bar admissions, an LL.M. in Taxation, or CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course are assets.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance throughout client dispute resolution

Draft submissions, correspondence, opinions, and litigation materials





Identify collaboration and referral opportunities across service lines

Oversee files, budgets, fee estimates, and engagements

Coach junior counsel and law clerks

Requirements

Canadian provincial or territorial law society membership

Three or more years practicing tax law

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication

Proven multidisciplinary collaboration and relationship-building skills

LL.M. in Taxation or CPA Canada tax course advantageous
