Position Summary

The AJISS Reliability Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Life Cycle Costing (LCC) Analysis, Failure Rate calculations, and various other reliability analyses to support the engineering change process. This role requires a robust background in reliability engineering principles and a meticulous approach to data analysis and reporting.

Key Areas of Responsibility

- Perform Life Cycle Costing Analysis to assess the economic impact of engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Calculate Failure Rates and conduct reliability modeling to predict and enhance system performance.
- Support engineering change management by providing detailed reliability assessments and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure reliability objectives are met.
- Analyze failure data, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions to improve product reliability.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to reliability findings.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices in reliability engineering.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to product reliability and cost efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Naval Architecture or other relevant field of study.
- xFRACAS / FRACAS and ReliaSoft software setup and integration experience
- 5 years experience in a marine or related environment
- Proven experience in reliability engineering
- Language: English (Essential)

Preferred Qualifications

- Post graduate or technical qualifications and experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), Preventive Maintenance (PM).
- Familiarity with military standards and reliability requirements.
- Previous experience working with a defence contract
- Project Management
- Language: Ability to communicate in French

Physical Demands

- Predominantly office work but will be required to work in dockyards and onboard Naval ships
- May be required to undertake inspections in machinery spaces of Naval ships involving climbing, bending and twisting

Special Position Requirements

- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Physical Environment: Hybrid position - which a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or on board ships alongside in harbour)
- Travel: Occasional domestic or international travel maybe required in support of the ships

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash 102,960.00 - 128,700.00 CAD Annual .
