As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own backend features from design through rollout and iteration. You will shape entitlement, policy, and customer onboarding services while partnering with Product Management and Chainguard engineering teams. Your work connects customers, partners, and internal product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own features through design, implementation, rollout, and iteration
- Design and evolve Go backend systems and REST/gRPC APIs
- Build integration paths across Chainguard engineering teams
- Extend agentic AI foundations into customer-facing experiences
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership

Requirements:

- Production experience developing software with Go
- Robust API design and scalable backend systems experience
- Experience operating shipped systems in production
- Ability to align multiple teams on technical standards
- Demonstrated engineering mentorship without a management title
