Analyze operating and capital costs for Canadian Natural’s Albian Oil Sands mine from Calgary or Fort McMurray with advanced Excel skills.
The Performance Analyst supports Infrastructure & Logistics through monthly accounting, forecasting, and annual budgeting. This position requires financial and management accounting knowledge, detailed cost analytics, and effective communication. You will explain variances and improve financial information for operating sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end operating and capital expense accruals
- Collect and report operating, maintenance, and sustaining capital costs
- Analyze OPEX and capital spending against budgets and forecasts
- Explain financial variances to finance and business stakeholders
- Develop reports using Power BI and EPM
Requirements:
- Typically five or more years of related industry experience
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration
- Financial and management accounting knowledge
- Proven detailed cost analytics experience
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Excel
