On behalf of our client within the FederalGovernment we are recruiting for a Senior QA Specialist/AnalysttoworkontestingofBIReports and Data assets.Our client has recently migrated the BIenvironment from Cognos to Power BI/Microsoft BI stack and this role will befocused on testing/QA to validate functionality of reporting systems, dataaccuracy and business alignment.

The required Quality Assurance and Testing work will include:

- Testplanningandcoordinationincludingthecreationanddocumentationoftestplans;testscenarios, test scripts, test summary reports and other documents as required;
- Conductingfunctional,performanceandaccessibilitytestingofapplications;
- Managementandmonitoringoftestplansforalllevelsoftesting;
- Managementofwalkthroughsandreviewsrelatedtotestingandimplementationreadiness;
- Establishingsoftwaretestingproceduresforintegrationtestingandregressiontesting;
- Establishing and operating"interoperability" testing procedures to ensure that the interactionand co-existence of various software elements, which are proposed to bedistributed on the commoninfrastructure,conformtoappropriatedepartmentalstandards(e.g.,Forperformance,compatibility, etc.)



and have no unforeseen detrimental effects on the sharedinfrastructure;
- Establishingavalidationandverificationcapabilitywhichassumesfunctionalandperformancecompliance;
- CapturingandcommunicatingtestresultsasrequestedbytheProjectAuthority(e.g.,inAzureDevops, Test status and summary reports, wiki and SharePoint documentation,etc.); and
- Statusreporting.

TechnicalTraining or Experience:

- PlanningandconductingQualityassurance andtestingactivities for BI/Reporting systems and dataassets,includingexperienceconductingeachofthefollowingtasks:
- organizingandschedulingtestingeffortsincludingtherequiredtestingresources;
- executingsystemintegrationtests;
- executingspecializedtests;and
- executinguseracceptancetests.

Experiencewith:

- SharePointOnline
- PowerBIService
- MicrosoftData&AnalyticsStack;
- PowerBIDesktop

Lived Experience:

- The role will have a close relationship with the IndigenousCommunity in Canada and for Government of Canada positions that are part of thePSIB-Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business or IPP-IndigenousParticipation Plans. Candidates will be required to attest to their IndigenousCitizenship/Membership and provide verification through documentation.
