Engineer propulsion and aerodynamics for rugged aircraft at Remote Robotic Systems, working on-site in Kanata with hands-on testing and mechanical design.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on Airmetal’s new aircraft program, you will develop hardware from concept through production. The work combines propulsion, structural dynamics, testing, validation, and CAD. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams across analysis, prototyping, field trials, and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select, test, and characterize motors and propellers
- Balance thrust, efficiency, weight, and cost
- Analyze airframe stiffness, vibration, and resonance
- Build test rigs and execute environmental test programs
- Support flight testing and field trials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Three to seven years of professional engineering experience
- Experience with UAVs or propulsion systems
- Strong testing and data analysis skills
- Robust SolidWorks or equivalent three-dimensional CAD skills
Apply propulsion, structural dynamics, testing, and CAD expertise to develop reliable aircraft hardware in Kanata.
