Dalhousie University’s Department of Psychiatry seeks a substantive full time psychiatrist for the Central Zone Community Mental Health and Addictions Program. The 1.0 FTE position supports Community Mental Health Teams and may include Recovery and Integration services. Clinical work includes assessment, investigations, pharmacological and psychosocial interventions, teaching, and on-call service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide attending or consultant care to ambulatory CMHA patients
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and coordinate appropriate investigations
- Deliver pharmacological and psychosocial interventions




- Participate in interdisciplinary care, teaching, and on-call service
- Supervise junior staff, residents, and clinical clerks

Requirements:

- Psychiatry fellowship or equivalent qualification
- Eligibility for Nova Scotia medical licensure
- Experience treating moderate to severe psychiatric disorders
- Experience working within interdisciplinary care teams
- Availability for full-time clinical duties
