We are searching for a self-motivated AI and DSP Applications Software Engineer to join the AI Processor Solutions team, which is responsible for developing machine learning-based applications and use cases for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The candidate will work on new, cutting-edge hardware accelerators in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and video processing, and will contribute to the research and development of current applications that bring artificial intelligence to mobile and edge devices.
Responsibilities include working with the team on the software architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and support of these applications and frameworks for the Qualcomm Snapdragon AI Processor. The role focuses on frameworks that support AI processing for multimedia use cases such as gaming, camera, and video playback, as well as low-power, always-on use cases. The candidate will collaborate with their team to understand requirements, propose and design solutions, and resolve technical issues, partnering with other teams as needed. The candidate may also help support internal and external customers.
The candidate should be self-motivated, enjoy solving complex problems, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. The candidate should be able to read abstract problem definitions, define problem statements,



and design solutions that meet the goals of our end users and technology. The candidate is expected to follow and demonstrate strong software development practices and processes. New PositionKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop processing frameworks running on Android, Linux, and other high-level operating systems as well as the AI Processor to enable AI-based multimedia use cases and hardware accelerators.
Test and validate algorithms for quality, performance, and power efficiency.
Collaborate with team members and partner teams to define architecture, APIs, and design.
Explore opportunities outside of mobile, including automotive, IoT, XR, etc.

Qualifications:
We’re looking for an engineer with 1–3 years of experience, though new grads and more senior applicants are welcome. The candidate should have the following skills and

experience:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and develop practical solutionsStrong working knowledge of modern C++ and CSolid understanding of software development principles and practices, including object-oriented designFamiliarity with computer architecture and operating systemsExperience working in a development team, using collaboration tools and workflows such as source control and code reviewStrong verbal, written,
