As part of TD Insurance’s Catastrophe Claims Department, you will adjudicate claims and provide advice during urgent customer situations. The work includes investigation, negotiation, settlement, customer communication, and collaboration with internal partners and vendors. You will manage claims from opening through final settlement while reviewing damages, estimates, and policy coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle residential and auto catastrophe claims
- Open claims, arrange appraisals, assign contractors, and finalize settlements
- Review inspection reports and estimates against reported loss damages
- Provide customers ongoing claim updates and repair support
- Collaborate with partners and vendors to resolve customer problems
Requirements:
- Two or more years of claims adjusting experience preferred
- Computer literacy; Xactimate and Xactanalys knowledge is an asset
- Excellent communication, customer service, empathy, and compassion
- Solid negotiation, investigation, organization, and time management skills
- Provincial claims licensing may be required
