Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, primarily weekday afternoons and evenings

Katie’s Learning Corner is a growing tutoring business dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a love for learning.

We are looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and dependable Part-Time Tutor to join our expanding team!

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for education, and is looking for flexible part-time employment with opportunities for growth.

We currently have established clients ready to be assigned to a new tutor, with the potential for additional hours as our business continues to expand.

Responsibilities

- Provide individualized, one-on-one tutoring to elementary and middle-school students.
- Support students in Mathematics, English, Reading, Writing, and Science.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and academic abilities.
- Prepare engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning materials.
- Help students build academic confidence, independence, and effective study habits.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with families and the Katie’s Learning Corner team.
- Complete brief session notes to document student progress.




- Travel to designated tutoring locations, including public libraries and clients’ homes.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, childcare, or educational experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary students studying Education, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain academic concepts clearly and patiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel between tutoring locations.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
