Apply mine design and planning expertise to complex underground projects with BBA in Quebec City, Montreal, or other Quebec locations. Coordinate studies, infrastructure, and technical delivery.

This principal-level engineering role supports underground mining studies, designs, and technical reports for base and precious metals clients. You will coordinate mining work with electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and other disciplines. The position also includes mentoring, staff scheduling, report authorship, and technical and commercial project management.

Key Responsibilities

Develop underground mine studies from scoping through detailed design

Prepare and oversee mining engineering drawings and study reports

Design ventilation, backfill systems, infrastructure, and mining services





Schedule staff assignments and mentor mining engineering personnel

Coordinate technical and commercial work across BBA offices

Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate degree in mining or geological engineering

Twenty years of operational, engineering, or evaluation experience

Experience with cut and fill, VRM, and caving methods

Mine equipment selection and CAPEX and OPEX estimating experience

Technical, project management, presentation, and communication skills

Use underground mine planning, design coordination, and mentoring experience to deliver high-quality engineering services through BBA.
