Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario, operating GO Transit, UP Express and PRESTO and delivering transit infrastructure across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

Metrolinx is hiring a Project Manager for the Ontario Line Elevated Guideway and Stations project. This in-office role is based at 2 Queen Street East in Toronto and requires regular presence at project sites.

Role overview

Oversee technical and design services throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring designs are compliant, safe, constructible and cost-effective. Support contract and schedule management, construction quality, site safety and security, project deliverables, and technical input to program communications and intergovernmental relations.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate project delivery from detailed design and contract documentation through construction, contract management and commissioning.
- Manage project issues, risks and stakeholder expectations in a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor engineering and design standards, technical specifications, document control, budgets, work breakdown structures and schedules.
- Review technical studies, reports, design proposals, specifications and contract documents.
- Assess contractor plans and schedules and monitor compliance with contract requirements, safety, quality,



environmental requirements, cost and schedule.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including municipalities, transit agencies and Metrolinx groups.
- Provide guidance to project personnel and conduct site reviews and audits.

Qualifications

- Degree in engineering, architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Progressive project management and implementation experience, including large, complex, multi-year transit projects.
- Heavy civil experience with stations, tunnels, bridges or major infrastructure is an asset.
- Knowledge of construction engineering, construction processes and value engineering.
- Ontario P.Eng. or OAA registration, PMP certification, and knowledge of AFP or Progressive Design-Build contracting are assets.
- Familiarity with relevant contract, construction, occupational health and safety, environmental assessment and professional engineering legislation.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and a valuable driving record.
