Automation and Controls Engineer/Specialist

High Prairie, Alberta

OurAutomation and Controls Engineers/Specialists develop and implement solutions tooptimize production processes, improve plant safety, product quality, and production throughput. They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. We’re looking for anAutomation & Controls Engineer/Specialist to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located inHigh Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone anexciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press, making us one of the most modern mills in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

- A qualified Trades Certificationwith relevant experience,an Engineering degree,or an Engineering Technical Diploma.
- 3+ years of experiencein a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred).
- Experience withPLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred).
- Experience with Human Machine Interfaces.
- Proficient withFactoryTalksoftware (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).
- Experience with industrial machineautomation.
