Apply marine hull expertise in a hybrid Halifax position supporting Royal Canadian Navy vessels through corrective maintenance and engineering changes.

As a Technical Specialist - Hull with Thales, you will support AJISS Coastal Support for Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels and Joint Support Ships. The position works with Service Delivery and Engineering teams on structural issues, certification management, and planned maintenance changes. You will investigate defects, coordinate with ship staff and providers, and develop technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate defects aboard ships or within Technical Document Packages
- Liaise with OEMs, providers, and ship staff
- Develop Work Instructions and Statements of Work
- Provide technical advice for hull systems




- Support engineering changes, deviations, waivers, and onboard surveys

Requirements:

- Three-year marine technical diploma from a recognized institute
- Technologist certification from a recognized licensing body
- Canadian Armed Forces QL 6A or 6B Hull Technician certification
- Eligibility for controlled technical information authorization
- Willingness to work aboard ships and in confined spaces

Support Thales and naval customers with hull investigations, technical documentation, corrective maintenance, and engineering coordination in Halifax.
