Apply marine hull systems expertise as a Technical Specialist with Thales in a hybrid Victoria role supporting naval vessels and dockyard operations.

The Technical Specialist supports AJISS Coastal Support for Royal Canadian Navy Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels and Joint Support Ships. This position addresses corrective maintenance, engineering changes, certification management, and planned maintenance changes. Work includes hull systems, ship structures, preservation, piping, welding, and machinery systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate defects onboard ships or within Technical Document Packages
- Liaise with original equipment manufacturers, providers, and ship staff
- Develop Work Instructions and Statements of Work
- Provide technical advice for hull system operation and maintenance




- Support engineering changes, deviations, waivers, and onboard surveys

Requirements:

- Three-year marine technical diploma or recognized technologist certification
- Canadian Armed Forces QL 6A or 6B Hull Technician certification
- Marine hull systems maintenance, operation, design, or troubleshooting knowledge
- Robust oral and written communication skills
- English fluency and Microsoft Office working knowledge
