Support operational risk oversight at CIBC Global Asset Management in Montreal, applying financial markets knowledge and control analysis on-site full time.
As an Associate, Oversight, you will work with the Senior Associate and business partners across Global Asset Management. You will support governance activities, risk assessments, control testing, and remediation. The work includes financial markets, asset classes, regulatory requirements, and Business Managed Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Change Initiative Risk Assessments and oversight activities
- Identify risk exposures, control gaps, and recurring themes
- Review trade errors and monitor remediation plans
- Support audits, regulatory examinations, and control testing
- Update procedures and contribute to training activities
Requirements:
- Five or more years in asset management compliance or operational risk
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
- Experience in operational risk oversight or compliance reviews
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and financial markets
- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Monday.com experience
