Design advanced optical hardware in Ottawa as a Senior Electronics Engineer, using analog, digital, and mixed-signal expertise onsite. Lead complex PCBA development from concept through production.

Lumentum seeks a senior Electronics Engineer to develop electro-optic optical cross-connect switch PCBAs. You will define, simulate, test, and deliver manufacturable products while leading extended teams. The work spans components, circuitries, schematics, layouts, and product support through the NPI lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead advanced optical hardware design from concept through production
- Define amplifiers, transistors, microcontrollers, ADCs, DACs, and circuitries
- Collaborate with software, firmware, optical, manufacturing, and mechanical teams




- Conduct hardware testing and validation for performance and reliability
- Create schematics, guide PCB layouts, and perform Cadence and Ansys simulations

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of applicable experience
- Expertise in complex PCBA design and team leadership
- Proficiency with Cadence, Ansys, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
- Proficiency in low-frequency analog and mixed-signal design
