The Director oversees community development and recreation functions while reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer. Responsibilities include long-term recreation planning, facility operations, development projects, community organizations, tourism support, and external relationships. The position also leads accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead long-term recreation and community improvement planning
- Guide staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Oversee parks, trails, facilities, and development projects




- Coordinate public engagement and stakeholder consultations
- Prepare budgets, reports, presentations, and operational plans

Requirements:

- Undergraduate or master's degree in community development or recreation management
- Five plus years leading community development work
- Knowledge of recreation programming and facility operations
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Criminal records and vulnerable sector checks
