Design transmission lines with CIMA+ using PLSCADD, structural analysis, and sound engineering judgment for utility projects. Work on Canadian infrastructure initiatives.

This Transmission Lines Designer supports CIMA+’s Energy & Resources team and its work across Canada’s energy transition. You will develop safe designs, resolve technical problems, and contribute to projects from existing and current facilities. The work includes overhead line structures, associated facilities, and technical documentation for medium-complexity utilities projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design overhead line structures for 5kV to 500kV systems
- Perform structural design, analysis, and detailing
- Develop safe engineering solutions and interpret specifications
- Prepare reports, specifications,



estimates, and test plans
- Provide construction support and field reviews as required

Requirements:

- University degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum five years of transmission project experience
- Proficiency with PLSCADD, CAD systems, and drawing standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
