Lead enterprise engineering at Spellbook using backend systems, full-stack development, and technical program leadership. This hybrid role supports customer-facing delivery.

As Engineering Manager, you will lead backend, full-stack, and forward-deployed engineers building, deploying, and customizing Spellbook. You will translate enterprise requests and roadmap bets into sequenced priorities, while supporting transactional legal teams through Microsoft Word. The role combines people leadership, delivery ownership, and technical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own enterprise engineering plans, milestones, priorities, owners, and risks
- Partner with sales and deal desk on feasibility and tradeoffs
- Lead prototypes and proofs of concept for enterprise deals
- Coach, grow,



and hire backend and full-stack engineers
- Drive dependencies across Core, ACM, and Platform teams

Requirements:

- Five-plus years of software development experience
- Technical leadership in a startup or scale-up environment
- Experience leading engineers and delivering production software
- Robust system design, backend, or full-stack skills
- Regular use of coding agents or similar AI tools
