The Upper Grand District School Board seeks a Child Youth Counsellor for a temporary part time Student Support Services assignment. The work addresses emotional barriers to student success through counselling, behavioural management programming, and collaboration with families. You will support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Address emotional barriers affecting student success
- Develop preventive social and behavioural programming
- Provide individual and group counselling support
- Support students and parents with social issues




- Assist with action plans and IEPs

Requirements:

- Child and Youth Worker diploma or degree
- Experience supporting students with behaviour and mental health needs
- School system and consultation experience
- Knowledge of Collaborative Proactive Solutions and Zones of Regulation
- Professional certification with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care
