Apply histology expertise at Lakeridge Health as a Registered Technologist supporting slide quality, tissue processing, and patient safety. Work full time across Ajax-Pickering and Oshawa.

This regular full time Registered Technologist position serves the Lab Histo/Cytology department within Laboratory Services. You will perform routine and complex histology procedures, special stains, troubleshooting, quality activities, and documentation. The schedule includes eight-hour days, evenings, and weekends, subject to change.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping
- Prepare high-quality slides for pathologist review
- Troubleshoot processing, sectioning, staining, and instrumentation issues
- Monitor quality control, assurance, and preventive maintenance activities




- Maintain reagents, supplies, documentation, and accreditation compliance

Requirements:

- Graduate of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Current CMLTO registration or eligible CAMLPR pathway registration
- Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science certification
- One to two years of recent clinical histology experience
- Knowledge of histotechnology, special stains, quality control, and laboratory systems
