Provide acute surgical nursing at Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, using assessment and treatment skills on Unit 42. This temporary part time role includes days, evenings, and weekends.

As a Registered Nurse with Covenant Health, you will support General Surgery patients through nursing assessments, care planning, prescribed treatments, medications, and progress monitoring. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while advocating for patients and families. The position serves a 32 bed surgical unit covering general, gynecological, orthopedic, ENT, and plastic surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform nursing assessments and establish patient care priorities
- Implement prescribed treatments and administer medications
- Evaluate treatments and document patient responses




- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members
- Facilitate education and discharge planning

Requirements:

- Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent
- Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C certification
- Minimum one year surgical or acute care nursing experience
- Successful recent surgical preceptorship may satisfy experience requirement
