Perform analytical testing at the NWR Sturgeon Refinery as a Laboratory Technician supporting protected operations across day or afternoon shifts.
This fulltime contract support position reports to the Laboratory Services Lead. You will conduct in-process, finished product, and utility water testing. The role uses approved SOPs, LIMS, control charting, and laboratory equipment procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily laboratory analysis using approved SOPs
- Report analytical data promptly through LIMS
- Maintain equipment and support calibrations
- Verify instrument performance through control charting
- Clean bottles and dispose of samples safely
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of laboratory experience
- Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in chemistry
- Knowledge of ASTM hydrocarbon testing procedures
- Working ability with LIMS and computer software
- Ability to support shifts and occasional refinery needs
