Application Analyst – Intermediate (.Net, Microsoft Visual Studio)

Job Description : Our Client in Edmonton is looking for ApplicationApplicationAnalyst – Intermediate (.Net,MicrosoftVisual Studio)

Must Have Primary Skills :

- University graduation:Computer Science(CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Information Technology (IT)or related discipline & 4yr related experience;
- Current active professionalcertification or accreditation in related discipline from a recognizedissuing body & 7yr related experience.Experience working as an Application Developer in a largeenterprise IT setting utilizing .net, Microsoft Visual Studio, and sourcecontrol tools.Experience working in software development across the fullsoftware development lifecycleDuration-Experience with MS SQL Server, Management Studio, storedprocedures, data modelling, and reporting services Experience using C# and Visual Studio.Experience working with end-users - confirming requirements,supporting testing and maintain documentation.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

- Experience in the analysis, development, and integration ofcomplex IT systems with a specific focus on the management of multiple datasources , web services, and legacy IT solutions.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with GitHub.
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development tools.

Proven Experience In :

- Liaise with business units and programareas to ensure solutions meet current and strategic ministry needs.
- Align development team to followApplication Architecture.




- Write code for the most complexFunctional and Technical Designs with minimal defects.
- Define non-functional requirements(Performance, Availability, Portability, Recovery / Recoverability etc.).
- Assess technical impacts up front andrecommend better ways of designing applications to ease the development.
- Produce Technical Design, Databasestructure and Application Architecture for a new average to high complexapplication.
- Seek the best technical designsolution that respects budget and timeline. Advocate the re-use of existingcomponents/frameworks. Innovate in providing better efficientways to design applications.
- Review Technical Designs from otherdevelopers and recommend optimization if necessary.
- Evaluate, with assistance, the qualityof the product being delivered, and take action to improvesituations.
- Assist/Execute performance/penetrationtests and troubleshoot issues at the system level.
- Isolate root cause of issues andprovide solution options/recommendations.
- Provide tracking and reporting of timeand status on all work, as required.
- Contribute to the creation of theApplication Lifecycle Planning.
- Identify and coordinate releaseschedules.
- Identify service requests andpriorities with customers.
- Ensure planned releases remain onschedule.
