BLG seeks a junior associate with two to three years of litigation experience. The lawyer will defend tort claims involving public authority liability, product liability, professional negligence, institutional liability, and defamation. Class actions experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft statements of defence, motions, affidavits, and mediation briefs
- Prepare settlement documents and other litigation materials
- Conduct examinations for discovery and prepare witnesses
- Develop litigation strategy with clients and senior lawyers
- Attend motions, case conferences, and court appearances

Requirements:

- Two to three years of litigation experience
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Excellent legal research, analysis, and drafting skills
- Sound judgment, strategic thinking, and practical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume files collaboratively
