Commercial construction estimating starts with accurate takeoffs and blueprint analysis from Thermal Systems KWC’s Calgary office. This full time position supports bids across Western Canada.

As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you will prepare initial estimates and full-cost estimates for proposed commercial projects. The work includes reviewing drawings and specifications, assessing time, materials, and labor, and supporting bid proposals. You will collaborate with business development and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare quality takeoffs for proposed commercial projects
- Analyze blueprints and drawings for accurate estimates
- Review quotations with the business development team
- Provide technical support to project management teams
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier quote evaluation

Requirements:

- Blueprint and specification reading experience or exposure
- Computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam or OST
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Strong attention to detail
