Lead water treatment operations in Thunder Bay with SCADA expertise and supervisory experience. Oversee a Water Treatment Plant and associated pumping stations. The City of Thunder Bay seeks an Operations Supervisor under the Plant Superintendent’s general supervision. This position directs staff, maintains regulatory compliance, and coordinates plant operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, safety, staffing, budgeting, and quality management activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise Operations staff and Environmental Engineering Technicians
- Oversee monitoring, sampling, documentation, and flushing requirements
- Create integrated work plans and operational schedules
- Maintain compliance with the Protected Drinking Water Act




- Coordinate safety meetings and emergency response duties Requirements:
- Engineering technology degree, diploma, or equivalent approved education
- Five years of administrative and supervisory experience
- Five years of plant operations and maintenance experience
- Experience operating microcomputers and SCADA systems
