As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on the Compute Platform team, you will define technical vision for affirm’s Amazon EKS foundation. You will guide fleet automation, workload safety, and platform standards across 90+ production clusters. The work spans Terraform, Spacelift, ArgoCD, custom Kubernetes controllers, Karpenter, and OPA/Gatekeeper. Key Responsibilities:

Architect EKS fleet lifecycle, node provisioning, and shared components Automate provisioning, upgrades, teardown, and GitOps delivery pipelines Own Karpenter, CoreDNS, VPC CNI, Kube-Proxy,
