Design transit electrical systems with CAD, Revit, and cost estimating expertise for WSP’s Bus, Transit & Fleet team. Support projects spanning infrastructure development. As an Electrical Designer / Estimator, you will develop coordinated drawings, specifications, and estimates for transit, fleet, and related infrastructure. Your work will address low- and medium-voltage distribution, EV charging, solar photovoltaic integration, communications, and sustainability-driven design. Projects progress from preliminary studies through detailed engineering. Key Responsibilities:
Develop electrical designs through detailed engineering stages Prepare CAD and Revit drawings, diagrams, and layouts Apply distribution, control,
and protection principles Prepare equipment specifications under Qualified Engineer supervision Develop AACE Class 1 through Class 5 estimates Requirements:
Engineering Technologist diploma, trade certification, or equivalent Three-plus years of electrical design and drafting experience Three-plus years of cost-estimating experience Knowledge of 600 V and medium-voltage distribution systems Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code Bring electrical design, estimating, CAD, and Revit capabilities to WSP transit and fleet infrastructure projects.
