Create realistic AAA environments for Velan Studios in Toronto, with hybrid or onsite work and three studio days weekly when hybrid. This Senior Environment Artist serves as Lead Environment Artist on an unannounced fantasy Action RPG. The position requires deep procedural content generation experience, realistic environment production, and leadership of a small team. You will match the game’s style with the Art Director while coordinating internal and outsourced work. Key Responsibilities:

Create realistic, game ready workplace assets Model hard surface assets, terrain, foliage, and world geometry Decorate environments with considered composition and staging Collaborate with the Art Director and production partners Provide aesthetic and technical outsource feedback Requirements:

8+ years creating realistic AAA environments 2+ years leading artists, or relevant equivalent experience Expert understanding of lighting, composition, color theory, and staging Expert three dimensional modeling with Maya or equivalent software Experience with custom, Unreal, Unity, or AAA engines Bring senior environment art, procedural workflows, and leadership experience to Velan Studios’ Toronto-based game development team.
