Shape Xero’s provider-agnostic payment integrations as a Senior Backend Engineer in Vancouver’s hybrid Payments Platform team. This senior position focuses on building payment foundations across providers, methods, regions, onboarding, risk, compliance, and reconciliation. You will own meaningful work end-to-end, from technical design through production, while keeping payment experiences secure, trusted, and easy to use. The work requires practical architectural judgment, production coding, and collaboration with product and engineering partners. You will help teams launch payment products faster without rebuilding common foundations. AI may support difficult product problems, with customer trust and disciplined evaluation remaining essential. Key Responsibilities:
