310S Automotive Technician / Red Seal Mechanic

$35–$55 per hour | 14 Days On / 14 Days Off | Longlac, ON

Based outside Longlac? No problem. Accommodations are available.

Looking to get out of the typical Monday-to-Friday shop grind? Here's an opportunity to put your experience to work, earn $35–$55/hour and enjoy a full two weeks off after every rotation.

We're looking for a licensed 310S Automotive Technician or experienced senior apprentice for a shop-based position in Longlac, Ontario, supporting a local mining operation.

Whether you're coming from Thunder Bay, Kenora, Timmins, Sudbury or elsewhere in Northwestern Ontario, we're open to candidates willing to travel for the rotation. Camp-style accommodations, your own private room and a meal plan are provided while you're on shift. Transportation between the accommodations and shop is also available.

You'll be working on a fleet of F-150s, F-250s and other passenger and support vehicles. This isn't just oil changes and tire work. You'll be getting into mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, drivability issues, diagnostics and component replacement. The shop has skilled scan tools and diagnostic equipment, with the capability to handle most repairs you'd typically see at a dealership.

You'll need to know your way around a toolbox, be comfortable chasing down a problem and be able to work without someone looking over your shoulder. Weekend coverage is independent, so we're looking for a self-starter who can diagnose, make a plan and get the job done.

What You'll Be Working On

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical,



electrical and drivability problems.
- Working on Ford F-150s, F-250s and various fleet support vehicles.
- Brake, suspension, steering, cooling system and general mechanical repairs.
- Electrical troubleshooting and scan tool diagnostics.
- Engine and transmission R&R; (no internal engine or transmission rebuilding).
- Preventative maintenance, inspections and keeping vehicles road-ready.
- Taking ownership of repairs and working independently when required.

What We're Looking For

- 310S Automotive Service Technician license / Red Seal.
- Experienced senior apprentices will also be considered.
- Solid mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable working on light-duty trucks and passenger vehicles.
- Able to work independently and troubleshoot without needing your hand held.
- Own tools required.
- DZ licence is an asset for towing and moving vehicles, but not required.

Pay, Rotation & Perks

- $35–$55/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Hourly pay – no flat rate or flag hours.
- 14 days on / 14 days off.
- Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

A Few Details on the Rotation

You'll work 14 consecutive days, followed by 14 days off. Your scheduled rotation hours are paid at your regular hourly rate. Overtime applies when you work beyond your scheduled hours or exceed 12 hours in a day. Additional days outside your scheduled rotation are paid at overtime rates.
