The Prospect As Manager, Building Automation / HVAC Controls – Technology Deployment, you will oversee a team of highly skilled controls and HVAC professionals responsible for delivering AI-powered building optimization solutions throughout the deployment lifecycle. You will drive operational excellence, establish scalable delivery processes, and ensure successful implementation across a broad portfolio of complex projects.



Working closely with engineering, product development, operations, sales, and customer success teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless deployments while continuously improving delivery efficiency and quality. This leadership role combines technical expertise, project execution, team development, and strategic planning to support ongoing growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controls engineers and technical deployment specialists.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Support workforce planning, training initiatives, succession development, and team readiness for future project demands.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational and project-related challenges.

Project & Deployment Management

- Oversee the successful delivery of AI-enabled building automation projects from implementation through commissioning and operational transition.
- Ensure projects remain aligned with timelines, quality standards, stakeholder expectations, and business objectives.
- Develop and execute deployment strategies that support scalable growth and predictable project outcomes.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, reporting tools, and operational metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner closely with engineering, software development, operations, sales, and customer success teams to drive successful project execution.
- Coordinate project requirements, deployment strategies, and technical integrations across multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless handoffs between implementation, post-deployment support, and ongoing operations teams.

Process Improvement & Innovation

- Champion process optimization and standardization initiatives across deployment operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and digital tools to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on delivery performance, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.




- Collaborate with product and development teams to support new integration methodologies and deployment innovations.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

- Translate organizational objectives into actionable deployment plans and team priorities.
- Forecast capacity requirements and identify operational bottlenecks before they impact project delivery.
- Provide leadership with meaningful insights regarding deployment performance, project risks, resource utilization, and operational trends.

What You Bring

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams within building automation, HVAC controls, smart buildings, commissioning, or systems integration environments.
- Strong expertise in HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), controls architectures, and automation technologies.
- Experience delivering complex building automation or smart building projects within commercial, institutional, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
- Solid understanding of building data integration, tagging frameworks, and system interoperability standards.
- Demonstrated success improving operational processes, implementing scalable workflows, and driving project execution excellence.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience leveraging operational metrics and performance data to drive decisions.
- Familiarity with controls commissioning, troubleshooting, deployment readiness, and technical implementations.
- Experience with automation tools, software development workflows, or data-driven technologies is considered an asset.
