The Assistant Cook works within Support Services for Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. Under direction from the Manager and Cook, this position supports regular, therapeutic, and texture modified meals. Work serves residents, patients, staff, volunteers, visitors, and community programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare regular, therapeutic, and texture modified meals
- Serve food to residents, patients, staff, and visitors
- Receive food supplies and control meal portions
- Maintain safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- Provide courteous and effective customer service

Requirements:
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate within six months
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and texture modification
- Minimum three years commercial food services experience
- Ability to operate required equipment
- Effective oral and written English communication
