Build cybersecurity operations experience with TMX Group in Toronto through hybrid SOC support, threat monitoring, and security analysis. This four-month co-op runs January 11 to April 30, 2027.

As a Junior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst Intern, you will work with the Information Security Office and Security Operations Center. The internship includes monitoring security events, researching threats, supporting incident response, and maintaining security technologies. You will also use Python or PowerShell, prepare metrics, and update technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support daily Security Operations Center and Security Engineering administration
- Monitor SIEM, EDR, and network logs for potential threats
- Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and mitigation techniques
- Support security tool maintenance, patching,



and upgrade roadmaps
- Assist incident triage, root-cause analysis, automation, reporting, and documentation

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in or recently completed first undergraduate year
- Study cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or related fields
- Understand networks, cloud environments, operating systems, and identity management
- Know firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR technologies
- Use Python or PowerShell and communicate technical concepts clearly

Develop practical skills in threat monitoring, incident response, scripting, and security operations with TMX Group’s Toronto team.
