Support rail technology projects with Hitachi Rail Canada Inc. as a full time Software Analyst Intern in Scarborough, Ontario, on a hybrid schedule.

This internship offers hands-on work in software engineering, including architecture, algorithms, coding, testing, and design reviews. From January to August 2027, you will work 40 hours weekly and collaborate with Systems Engineering to maintain software and system consistency. The internship location is 100 Consilium Place.

Key Responsibilities:

- Refine functional and non-functional software requirements
- Contribute to architecture and algorithm design
- Write test procedures and chair design reviews
- Analyze and implement defect-report corrections
- Perform engineering testing and investigate field issues

Requirements:

- Pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Study engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Understand software development processes
- Know Windows programming and socket programming
- Work independently and integrate quickly with teams
