Permanent (10-month) BIM position, effective immediately :
Behaviour Intervention Mentor – 1.0 FTE Saint John Education Centre – 1 position
(Note: FTE = Full-time equivalency; 1.0 indicates full-time position)
Description : The Behaviour Intervention Mentor will provide direct support through various proactive strategies and activities aimed at assisting students with the development of social skills and implementing programs that assist in creating an environment conducive to students staying in school.



Work will also consist of developing strategies to keep students retention to promote positive social and communication skill development in students, as well as support the school team in developing positive learning environment initiatives. Work may also include conducting individual or group interventions, support teachers in behaviour management and collaborate with various professionals in the school system and in the community, such as teachers, school psychologists, social workers, probation officers and mental health professionals. Bachelor Degree (Psychology, Social Work or Education)
Knowledge of positive support, behavior management strategies
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered
Salary : In accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees–Skilled Support Group Collective Agreement, $2783.78 bi-weekly for 1.0 FTE positions;
