Legal, Risks and Compliance Services Are you passionate about litigation and looking to contribute to the purpose of a company committed to helping its clients feel confident and secure about their future? As a Lawyer, you will play a key role within our Legal Affairs team. Manage and oversee litigation files involving the company and its insureds in property and casualty insurance and civil liability matters, including through the use of JurisEvolution software.

Develop strategies to resolve litigation matters in a favourable and cost-effective manner.

Represent the company and/or its insureds before civil and administrative courts and tribunals.

Effectively manage your schedule with the support and collaboration of a legal assistant.

Work closely with claims adjusters and colleagues on more complex insurance claims, including major losses and special risks.

Provide legal opinions related to insurance law, particularly regarding underwriting, policy cancellation, property and casualty insurance, and civil liability.

Collaborate with members of the Operations Vice-Presidency to better understand their needs and challenges and provide legal advice.

Participate in the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Share your expertise with colleagues and contribute to building an engaged and inspired team.

Stay informed of relevant legal, legislative, and case law developments.

Do you have the experience, maturity, and qualities needed to take on these responsibilities?





Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.Has a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience within the insurance industry .

Demonstrates a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance underwriting principles , which would be considered a significant asset.

Is fluent in French and has an intermediate level of English , as the role requires weekly communication with internal and external clients located across Canada.
