Lead derivative settlements oversight at Scotiabank in Toronto, applying OTC product knowledge and operational controls within a hybrid arrangement.

As Assistant Manager, you will support Derivative Settlements Operations and Settlements and Clearing in Canada. The 12-month contract covers daily settlements, accounting breaks, rate resets, MTM reporting, and control oversight. You will work with clients, counterparties, Sales and Trading, Product Control, Technology, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete daily derivative settlements and investigate accounting breaks

Send rate reset notifications and complete related tasks

Provide accurate analysis to the management team

Lead issue resolution and cross-train junior staff

Identify process improvements and mitigate operational risks

Requirements:

University Bachelor's Degree

Solid understanding of OTC derivative products

Three to five years in Capital Market Operations

Availability during core operational hours of 8:30am to 6pm

Ability to support global operations on statutory holidays
