Shape CLT and Glulam fabrication through production-focused detailing, CNC integration, and shop drawing review at Mercer Mass Timber. As Senior DfMA Designer, you will apply mass timber design expertise within the VDC/Engineering group. The position reports directly to the Fabrication Design Lead and supports complex structural assemblies. Your work connects 3D models, fabrication logic, and release-ready documentation. Key Responsibilities:

Enforce DfMA methodology in complex timber detailing decisions Review detailer models and approve single-piece shop drawings Integrate MEP penetrations and structural interfaces Support templates, catalogs, modeling standards, and process improvements Assist with deficiencies, RFIs, scope gaps, and change orders Requirements:

Five-plus years in complex timber structures and DfMA workflows Proven CLT, Glulam, connection detailing, and CNC expertise Degree or diploma in a related technical field preferred Advanced BIM and CAD software proficiency, including Cadwork or Revit Robust communication with managers, engineers, and fabrication teams Use CLT, Glulam, BIM, and CNC knowledge to deliver precise mass timber fabrication documentation and technical coordination.
