Position:Accounting AnalystEmployment Type:Full Time PermanentVacancy Status:Existing VacancyLocation:Brampton, ON (Hybrid)Salary Range: $57,654.00 To $72,067.00 AnnuallyThe RoleAs an Accounting Analyst, you will be supporting the day-to-day transactional accounting activities within the general ledger and financial close process. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and complete account reconciliations to support month-end close and financial reporting.This is a hybrid role working a minimum of 3 days per week in our Brampton office.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post manual and semi-automated journal entries for month-end close, including accruals, allocations, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policiesCoordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information required for accruals (e.G. payroll, expenses, reserves)Perform balance sheet account reconciliations (e.G. AR, AP, inventory, intercompany, bank, accrual liabilities)Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and account variances in a timely mannerMaintain organized supporting schedules and documentation to ensure audit readinessSupport month-end close process by completing assigned tasks, meeting deadlines, and assisting with financial reporting activitiesConduct variance analysis and assist in identifying and resolving unusual transactions or account fluctuations and collaborate with accounting leadership to resolve discrepanciesEnsure compliance with internal controls, approval workflows, accounting standards, and company policiesProvide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation (journal entries and reconciliations) and responding to auditor requestsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiencies in journal entry,
