This GNWT position reports to the Maintenance Coordinator and serves facilities in Norman Wells, with site visits to other Sahtu communities. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and inspections involving plumbing, oil, and hot water systems. Candidates need code knowledge, accurate recordkeeping, and readiness to keep current with technology and computerized building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide plumbing maintenance across GNWT facilities
- Inspect oil and hot water systems
- Repair and install equipment under applicable codes
- Deliver oil burner mechanic services
- Travel to required community work sites

Requirements:

- Journeyman certification in plumbing or oil burner mechanics
- Three years of related experience
- Required Class 5 NWT Driver's Licence
- Basic electrical and hazardous goods knowledge
- Class 4 or 5 Operating Engineer certification is an asset
