Serve Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s 26-bed Emergency Department as an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse focused on mental health and substance use.

Interior Health’s permanent full-time MHSU Emergency Room team provides responsive care in Vernon, BC. The position supports clients who may experience crisis, reliable functional impairment, mental health problems, problematic substance use, or developmental disability issues. Working days and nights on rotating shifts, you will participate in a multidisciplinary care team and provide specialized treatment across individuals, groups, and families. The Emergency Department includes trauma rooms, secure rooms, cardiac monitoring, and diagnostic imaging in the trauma room.

Key Responsibilities:





- Provide assessment and treatment across available services
- Support clients with physical and social impairments
- Deliver case management and community support
- Consult with physicians and emergency triage nurses
- Apply specialized therapies to clients and families

Requirements:

- Graduation from an approved nursing school
- Two years’ recent mental health and addictions experience
- Current practicing registration with BCCNM
- Equivalent education, training, and experience accepted
