Deliver comprehensive speech and language services across southeastern B.C. as a Speech Language Pathologist with School District 8 – Kootenay Lake. Travel between school sites is included.

In this 0.50 FTE term appointment, you will assess, identify, intervene, and report for students across district schools. Services focus on K-3 learners and children or youth with diagnosed complex needs at higher grades. You will help staff monitor IEP outcomes, implement strategies, and maintain student documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate students using formal and informal measures
- Assist with IEP goals and outcomes
- Implement effective literacy support strategies
- Initiate referrals to district and community professionals
- Report according to school reporting periods

Requirements:

- Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- BC College membership required
- Experience supporting students with complex needs
- Alternative and augmentative communication systems knowledge
- Valid BC driver’s license and vehicle access
