Drive consolidation and reporting accuracy for Gibson Energy from its Calgary Head Office, combining Workiva, Excel, and financial analysis skills in a permanent position.

This Senior Accountant role covers end-to-end external reporting, from consolidation through financial statements, MD&A;, and committee materials. You will investigate variances, account for intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, equity, stock-based compensation, and debt. Collaboration spans Finance, FP&A;, Tax, Treasury, Operations, IT, and Internal Controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translation
- Investigate and explain financial variances and reporting results
- Prepare monthly reporting packages and legal entity statements




- Automate reconciliations and document related financial controls
- Coordinate Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee reviews

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation
- 5-8+ years progressive accounting experience
- Public company financial reporting experience
- Advanced Excel and consolidation tools experience
- Workiva, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Query, or Power BI experience
