This Prep Cook role serves a volume food preparation environment within retirement living. You will prepare ingredients, cook meals, support dietary needs, and assist with special events. You will also maintain hygiene, store supplies, and monitor temperatures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare ingredients including meats, vegetables, and salads
- Help cook meals according to residents’ dietary needs
- Receive, store, and organize food and kitchen supplies
- Complete temperature checks for fridges, freezers, and storerooms
- Follow food handling, health, and safety practices

Requirements:

- One to two years’ experience in volume food preparation
- Retirement, long-term care, or hospitality experience ideally
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate; Level 2 preferred
- High standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and attention to detail
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
