Use hands-on repair skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems at BC Hydro’s Surrey Campus with Black & McDonald. The onsite assignment supports dependable facilities service.

This Facilities Maintenance Technician performs light preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and service-call response. You will assist the Facility Manager, coordinate suppliers, and maintain customer and vendor relationships. Work is recorded through JDE and the computerized maintenance management system.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend service calls and initiate corrective repair work orders
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and services
- Assist supplier technicians, mechanics, and maintenance activities




- Request supplier quotes and monitor construction schedules
- Review completed work and proactively correct deficiencies

Requirements:

- Three to five years mechanical, electrical, or facilities experience
- Experience performing maintenance and repair tasks
- Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems knowledge
- Solid problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
