This part time temporary Assignment Editor supports special projects and daily coverage for Canada’s only multilingual and multicultural television station. The position calls for broad national-news knowledge, awareness of community interests, and exceptional communication. You will provide editorial insights, coordinate arrangements, and help producers focus coverage effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support resource allocation for special series and presentations
- Provide editorial insights on planned coverage
- Respond to and chase news tips
- Liaise with reporters, editors, cameras, and producers
- Coordinate technical arrangements for stories and specials

Requirements:

- Three years working editorially in a newsroom
- Knowledge of daily national news and broader community subjects
- Superior interpersonal and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Inception NRCS is an asset
- Team-focused attitude and tight-deadline capability
